Keep kids busy in the holidays having fun and learning a new skill or improving techniques. Two day sewing workshop, we will be sewing a cool T shirt with slashed sequined pocket, so much fun to sew and then wear. Perfect for kids 8 to 16 even if they have never sewn before.

Date: Monday 11th and Tuesday 12th of December

Time: 10.00 to 3.00

Location: Unit 4, 42 Dominions Rd, Ashmore

What’s included: Use of Sewing Machine,  sewing tools, pattern, all fabric, and notions like thread and , 5 hours workshop, with an experienced and knowledgeable teacher.

What do I need to bring: Just bring lunch and snacks, to keep the energy up  as we will have a very busy day, please wear closed in shoes as we work with scissors and pins. You are welcome to bring your own machine as long as its in working order, we can service it before the workshop if needed, $120, you will need to bring its accessories. If we have any issues and it can’t sew our project then I will switch it over to one of mine. Good Idea to bring a jacket as we will have lunch outside.

What will I learn: We will start off with sewing straight, threading a sewing machine, then cutting out our pattern on the fabric, using scissors on fabric, then constructing of t shirt,  Rib trim on neck, inserting a sleeve, hemming and sewing with stretch fabric. adding a pocket with Shredded sequin detail.
